Saints Teresa of Avila and Therese of Lisieux
Two great women of the Church, St. Teresa of Avila and St. Therese of Lisieux, were celebrated during the month of October. Three hundred years separate them yet they have much in common. Both are Doctors of the Church, both were members of an enclosed order of nuns, they were both passionate about prayer and were headstrong women! Carmelite, Fr. Chris O’Donnell told Eileen Good why they are still relevant to the Church today.
