The Church faces many challenges. In this three part series with Archbishop Diarmuid Martin we look at some of the pressing issues: faith renewal, ecumenism and finding meaning in our busy lives. One of the difficulties regarding the first issue, faith renewal, lies in reaching out to those who claim to be Catholic on the census form but who rarely go to mass or practise in any meaningful way. How do you make their faith relevant for them? Miriam Gormally talked with Archbishop Diarmuid Martin about whether the Eucharistic Congress had in some way helped start a renewal and whether the Year of Faith in 2013 would make a difference.
