Irish Fashion Designer Claire O’Connor

Claire speaks of her the importance of her faith as part of the fabric of her daily life as a leading international fashion designer. 

Claire O’Connor has featured in, Le Figaro, Air France inflight magazine, Grazia, ELLE Canada, Fernanda, Drapers, Voice America, Sunday Times Style magazine and features regularly in the leading Irish publications including, Image, Social and Personal, Irish Tatler, Sunday Independent.  People who have worn Claire O’ Connor include Victoria Smurfit, Enya, The Osbournes, as well as dressing Ireland’s top TV personalities and celebrities including Síle Seoige, Bláithnaid Ní Chofaigh, Kathryn Thomas, Jean Byrne and Gráinne Seoige.  In 2010 she dressed Ireland’s entry for the Eurovision song contest final.  In 2011 Claire was involved in setting up Project 51, an Irish Design collective and in November of the same year was chosen as “The Best of Irish” to present a full catwalk show at Vancouver Fashion Week to showcase Spring/Summer 2012.  Claire travels regularly to New York and has worked with some of the cities leading fashion photographers as well as working closely with Miss Universe organization.

    “Respect” is such a key word used by Claire coming from the Latin, respicio, meaning to look behind, to observe or we could take it to mean in today’s world as taking a second look. Claire has said that beginning the day with prayer helps her to take a second look at God, at life and at others. Thank you for this inspiring and enriching interview ending with the gospel quote:
