Remembering Mariora Rostas

Roma gypsy Marioara Rostas, was brutally murdered in 2008. When her body was found years later in a shallow grave in Wicklow, the brutality of the act shocked the nation. It raised many questions about the safety of minors and in particular vulnerable, socially excluded minors. Miriam Gormally spoke with Siobhan Curran, who works in Pavee point with the Roma community, about the impact of Marioara’s murder.
