A piece from our archive – September 16th 2009 – This year’s event will be held on October 5th 2013. Here we look back at what the congress looked at in 2005.

 

September is back to school month and many parents may be wondering or possibly worrying about their children’s education. One area that received much attention was religious education. Between Memory and Hope is the title of this year’s second Religious Education Congress which will be held in Dundalk, from Friday 2nd to Sunday 4th October. The Congress will look at good and bad memories from the Church’s role in education and seek to find the best way forward for the future. Miriam Gormally spoke with Brendan O’Reilly, Congress Organiser, to find out what aspects of education they will be looking at.
