The national Sow and Grow Campaign for primary school children was launched at Our Lady of Good Counsel National School, Mourne Road, Drimnagh, Dublin on March 1st. The is to introduce primary school children to growing their own food and learning more about where food comes from.

GIY – Grow It Yourself teamed up with Innocent to distribute 30,000 seed packs and growing instructions to 30,000 primary school children nationwide.

They can also keep a growing blog online and the ‘Best’ Sow and Grow school will win a trip to Bloom for their class, a trip to Dublin Zoo and €500 worth of gardening equipment for the school; the winning school will be presented with their prizes at Bloom hopefully by the President!
