Concern for Australia
The bushfires in Australia have being burning in an unprecedented way that has caused thousands to have to flee and evacuate to safer spaces. David Wilson, a teacher from Australia, visiting Ireland for the New Year talked with Miriam Gormally about the effect these have have had on him and on the country. He talks about the devastation of seeing many of the places from his childhood go up in flames and the disappointment of the Australian people to the response from the Prime Minister Scott Morrison. He also considers whether he can see a long term future in the country if the climate deteriorates further. Miriam Gormally began by asking him whether there had been any direct effect on him.
